The Joys of a Kindergartner

Spencer has been full of questions lately. They start like this..."How old do you have to be to....?" How old do you have to be to go to the temple? How old do you have to be to have an apartment of your own? How old do you have to be to surf? How old do you have to be to get married? How old do you have to be to have a cell phone?

Well, this morning, he asks me "How old do you have to be to drive a monster truck?" I promptly told him 18. And he excitedly replies, "Hey, Chelsey could drive a monster truck!" Umm.....,Chelsey is my baby sister who just barely turned 18.

So Chelsey, if you want to know what to do to impress your nephews...... ha, ha.

Our First Trip to Disneyland

The reservations are made the theme park tickets have been purchased...it's official, our family is about to go on our very first trip to Disneyland! We leave the middle part of April and will be gone for ten days. And we are sooooo excited.

They say there are three parts to a trip like this. The anticipation, the trip itself and then the memories afterward. So we are making countdown calendars, walking at the walking park each day to get those little legs stronger for all the walking we'll be doing, involving the kids in internet research and shopping for comfortable shoes and beach wear. We are constantly talking about it, so, needless to say, the anticipation is definitely building.

Were going to do it all during this trip: Sea World, San Diego Zoo, many beaches, Disneyland and Universal Studios.

As you can see, we are big Toy Story fans. So with Toy Story 3 coming out this June, we are hoping for a lot of hoopla there about it.

My New Church Calling

I have been serving as the 2nd counselor in the primary presidency. I really enjoyed this calling because it included scouts, and I had some wonderful people I was working with. But I knew that it was all going to change soon because our primary president was moving to a new ward.

But the change wasn't as big as I thought it would be. They moved the 1st counselor to the president position and I've been moved to the 1st counselor position. I absolutely love the women I get to work with, Lindsey Gardiner and Amanda Rasmussen. I've been in scouts for three years, so it's a little different to have nothing to do with that entity. But a change is always welcome, and I'm definitely excited about my new duties.
